YSDN2020 Interactive Exhibit

Originally to be displayed at the physical YSDN2020 graduation show, this interactive exhibit was designed and fleshed out for a class assignment. It utilizes an arduino, an infrared distance sensor, a projector and a processing sketch to create an appealing effect. In order to get a feel for how it may look, I created a cg mockup to emulate the type of environment it may have been used in.

By detecting motion via the sensor and arduino, the processing sketch would pop out more and more characters, exciting characters around the new characters. The characters represent the networking taking place at the YSDN2020 grad show, with individuals showing up and floating from exhibit to exhibit, building social connections as they go along. At the end of the show, when less people are entering the venue, the characters will lazily float about, acting exhausted after a busy and social night.
